Nail’d It London

 

You’ve probably heard about this place, especially if you are in to beauty and like me spend a lot of time online.

it’s all over Instagram! Nail’d is a super hyped and successful nail parlor chain. They got locations in London, but are also launching in L.A. and Dubai this year.  Kitty and I are currently in London on our business seminar, where we gather inspiration and plan for our short term as well as our long term goals for The Powder Room.

I’m in charge of the “activities” and what could be more fitting than a visit to a super hyped beauty spot?!?

This is actually my second attempt to visit Nail’d it. Last summer I was in London with my sister and we actually booked an appointment. But  they somehow messed up their schedule, and in the end we didn’t get our nails done there. A bit disappointing, but s*** happens so I tried to book again.

I booked Shellac Rose Petal Mani & Pedicures, for both Kitty and I. Extra glitter for Kitty, because that girl loves her sparkle.

We started with the Pedicure. First a lovely foot bath with rose petals sprinkled in. The girls were so efficient! They scrubbed & filed our feet before they wrapped them in a foot mask, and got to work on our cuticles and toenails. Then the lacquer. Honestly I’m amazed at how fast it went! I’m a little squeamish when it comes to people touching my feet, but even for me it was a pretty pleasant experience.

Then the manicure, we moved to a different corner of the parlor, where they set up a nail station and did a cute little hand bath with rose petals as well. Wrapped up my hands in a lovely hand mask, and then on to the cuticles and nails. Great cuticle work! But the filing of the nails were perhaps a little too hurried. I noticed they were a bit ruff and uneven after I left. The paint job however was spot on!

 

But what really makes this place worth a visit is the decor, so unbelievably instagramable.

I would absolutely recommend you pop by for a session if you are in the neighborhood. We had our appointment on our first day in town, and that was absolutely perfect. We were a bit tired, we had been up since like 5 in the morning. So a little time out and pampering session was just the thing 💕
