Madame LA LA
Im a big fan of fake bakes! I love a little glow to my skin, but I’m very careful about not exposing my skin to harmful rays. Although even if I wasn’t, good luck with getting a tan in Copenhagen… Well this summer was actually quite amazing, so to be fair this year it would actually be possible to rock a natural tan.
Anyways…. what I wanted to tell you about was this new self tanner I’ve discovered. I was super excited to try it, for several reasons. First of all it comes in a face and a body version. Second, the body version is a mousse. Big like! Third the smell. That’s always the issue with self tanner isn’t it? That sugary burnt smell. This one promised something different! A subtle coconut smell. I was intrigued. Okay I’m not gonna lie, the fact that it was Kardashian approved didn’t hurt either.
Madame La La celebrities fans also include: Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid and Vanessa Hudgens. All very chic and stylish in my opinion. And my general attitude is, that if it’s good enough for Hollywood royalty – it’s good enough for me.
The self tan mousse combines a lot of natural and popular anti-ageing ingredients such as Aloe, Green Tea and Vitamin E. The mousse gives an instant tan that drys quickly, and then builds within a few hours. The quick dry part is a major must for me, if a tanner takes to long to dry, I’m just never gonna use it. I have no patience for those things.
But this one was great! I loved the texture and how quickly it felt dry on my skin. Another thing I really like is that when it drys it draws thwarts green not orange. It might sound weird… it’s not like you go green, but if you leave some on a cotton ball it will dry slightly green. So you definitely won’t get that orangey fake tan look.
